Special Community Healing Session this Sunday 8/27 9:30a-12p!

Considering all the stressful events and tensions happening currently in the news, in politics, and in our country, Alameda Community Acupuncture wants to offer a morning of peaceful respite with 
FREE 30-minute ear acupuncture treatments.
  • This coming Sunday August 27th from 9:30-12pm*, we welcome all of our patients (return patients & those new to our clinic) to drop in for a 30-minute basic wellness and stress-reducing ear acupuncture session. These treatments are extremely helpful for anyone experiencing anxiety, stress, PTSD, and emotional imbalance in these challenging times. 
  • Ana will also be providing qigong energy work for those interested. 
  • There will be an optional $5 donation that will be sent to the Alameda Point Collaborative to support their helpful community services. Check out their website for more information about their organization.
Alameda Community Acupuncture is a healing space of safety, peace, and community building & sharing for all. We welcome everyone no matter what background, race, religion, or gender. We believe in building a peaceful, strong and healthy community together.
-Walk-ins are welcome, no need to book appointments in advance.
-*We will start our last treatment at 12:00p. So please drop in before 12pm!
-We will resume our regular Sunday shift from 12:30-4:30p with Eun following the Community Healing Session.

Our Summer Food Drive is back!

For many children who rely on school lunch programs, summer vacation can mean the end to their only nutritious meal of the day. Throughout June & July we will be hosting a food drive for the Alameda County Community Food Bank.

From June 1st until July 31st if you donate TWO food items to our food barrel (all proceeds go to Alameda County Community Food Bank), you can receive a $5 discount on what you normally pay for your acupuncture treatment!

Please keep in mind that we cannot accept donations of food in glass jars, perishable food, expired food, frozen food, fresh produce, soda, baby food or formula, and any non-food items.

It's National Bike Month and we are offering $5 off acupuncture treatments for return patients who ride their bike to their acupuncture appointment for the month of May. If you are a new patient, we will waive our first time $10 paperwork fee. Just show us your helmet!

Please know that this month, you can also get the same discount if you are a member of Bike Walk Alameda or Bike East Bay.* Just show us your membership card!

Why do we support biking as transportation?

Alameda Community Acupuncture believes in promoting a healthy, equitable, sustainable community not just in the clinic, but outside the clinic as well. Bike transportation is not only a great way to integrate exercise into our daily lives, it can also be part of the solution towards a more sustainable community and planet.

April Alexander Technique Workshops

Sunday 4/2/17 10-11:30am: Intro to Alexander Technique w/Lenka Fejt

Would you like to improve your posture, balance, and the way you move? If yes, please join us for an introductory class on the Alexander Technique.

Alexander Technique is a practical method of psycho-physical re-education that’s been taught over 120 years. The Technique deals with habitual tensions that interfere with efficient balance, posture, and movement.

Are you moving to the best of your ability? Join me and learn how to apply the Alexander Technique principles to your daily movements and exercise routines. As a result, you will move with less tension and free of pain!

 

Sunday 4/16/2017 10-11:30am: Better way to Sit, Stand and Move w/Lenka Fejt

 Are you moving poorly? Does your body ache when you sit, stand, walk, or exercise? Learn how to eliminate bad postural and movement habits by applying key principles of the Alexander Technique. As a result, you will move with greater ease, less tension, and more enjoyment.

 

(All classes are $20 for advanced and pre-paid registration or $25 at the door day of)
